Lift Control
FDI Passan controller can manage lift access control if used with the lift stackable card and also the relay release box decoder. Lift access control system has to be used with a dedicated Passan controller fitted with a lift card, decoders and 3 wire readers or keypads under the management of PassanSoft.
When a keyholder enters an access code or presents a token they will be able to gain access to certain floors but denied entry into others. In case several keyholders present their key to the lift reader, the authorised floor will be added.
Lift control management with Passan is an ideal solution to increase security levels within a building.
An FDI Passan controller dedicated to lift access control can manage two lift risers and a maximum of 4 decoders. The decoder provides relay outputs for up to 10 floors. Therefore, a maximum of 32 FDI Passan controllers can be installed in a network managing up to 2 lift risers each with a maximum of 4 decoders per controller. This means that Passan can manage 64 lifts of 40 floors each in one network!
The connection between Passan and the lift card is a low-level connection as it uses only dry contacts.
