FDI is specialised in designing and producing access control solutions. The company manages projects from R&D level to the production and sales. Through its use of up-to-date technology and highly skilled and experienced people, FDI has made it to the forefront of access control manufacturers for residential and industrial applications. The FDI product range provides dedicated solutions to small single-site installation as well as large multi-sites networks.
Over the past 20 years FDI MATELEC has been committed to a high standard of quality and product excellence.
- 2008-2009: FDI MATELEC is going towards the ISO 9001:2000 international standard (2000 version)
- 2007: New stock management system.
- 2003: Integration of a new IT system to improve the reliability of information flows and optimize stock management, production process and follow-up quality control.
At each step of the manufacturing process, the products are continuously monitored. For standard products (series production) we carry out a sample production control, however all specific product are fully controlled. The defective piece is then isolated for further analyses, then it will be repaired or eliminated from the production process. The production is continuously updated to ensure that all products offer the highest standards of quality and reliability.
In an ever-changing market, FDI's success over the past 20 years has been based on managing projects as a whole. FDI manages all its projects from A to Z: from R&D level to the production and sales.
Our engineers working in the R&D department have built up a great deal of experience in Hardware and software development. They strive towards continual improvements and on-going research regarding access control solutions in order to fully meet our customer’s needs. The R&D department is equipped with state to the art testing machine in order to stay ahead of the market and ensure the best possible results for the customers.
