PassanSoft

Passansoft is the software used to manage a Passan access control system. Passasoft is a completely integrated security solution that interfaces access controls, CCTV and OVR Management in a single, user friendly operting system. Passansoft has been designed to make the day to day management of control access into and around a building, easy to manage by the end user administrator whilst offering advanced configuration possibilities.

Passansoft allows you to manage an unlimited number of sites with only one PC.
Four software access code can be used: administrators, managers, users, and visualisers to increase site security.

Two connection modes are available:

- Local: through a RS232 connection with a FDI serial cable or a RS232 interface.

- Remotely: TCPIP through an Internet or Intranet network or phone line connection with FDI modem.

A removeable dongle ensures security of the network, the PC can only be connected to the network controller which has a dongle fitted.

Passansoft covers all the requirements of residensial housing, commercial, industrial, leisure or government buildings.

Key Management:
up to 2700 user details with name, details, access code, access authorisation, ID picture, comments. Possibility to Export to Excel (user+events)

Group Management:
up to 30 groups can be created to ease key management. For instance, if you wish to prevent students from accessing certain rooms during holiday periods you can do so. At the same time you can allow members of staff to gain access to these rooms.

Time Profile Management:
up to 100 different week time profiles. Each time profile will describe a full week of allowed entry times including holiday period. A time profile consists of several time slots with a start and end time throughout the week where valid keys can be used.

Event in real time:
up to 50 types of events. Possibility to view, save and report. Events can trigger actions: for instance, when access control violations occur such as door forced open, an alarm can be set and/or a SMS can be sent to the security manager.

Video in real time:
when an event occurs, a camera can be triggered to display and record activity at the respective access control reader. It is possible to monitor video real-time through the access control system as well as play back recorded video. This increases security by providing a link between access control events and CCTV.
PassanSoft has a graphical user interface providing the option of a single image, quad or sixteen screen display.

Anti Pass Back Management:
the Anti Pass Back system is designed to prevent key holders passing their token/card to a second person to gain access to the same controlled area; i.e. car park.
Once the Passan system has been configured with APB the PC does not need to be connected to the network for APB to be in operation.
